I don't remember ever using a butcher knife, I've always seen them in movies and cartoons but this one made me particularly happy. It's a big difference from what I've used my whole life like a chef's knife, boning knife, santoku knife, paring knife, and serrated knife, but wow, it cuts like a Bryan Adam knife. I'm amazed at the difference it makes, especially when slicing a tomato. I must say that you must be very careful not to have your small pet or bare feet near you in case you drop this suction cup and keep it sheathed! I think I will like this knife.
