Trying to cut a small bone in meat, the blade broke on the first cut. So I think it's good for veggies...

Haven't used it yet, it's a little heavier than I thought it would be but it's okay, we can get used to it. I will use it for trimming the ends of ribs and other meats and veggies.

I love this knife, it cuts like a dream! Easy to hold I have large handles and they are easy to manipulate. My tip was slightly bent but the hammer and hammer were fine. This is handmade so I expect imperfections

I love good knives and this knife kills. I checked as much as possible. Yes I would buy it again. Yes, this is a hike with me for the whole summer. Fits so well in the hand that I couldn't tear myself away on the first day.

Surprisingly this is a great knife for the price! I honestly didn't expect anything better but I was quickly wrong, came with a sharp factory edge and holds it up well. Very durable, not too heavy and also great workmanship, this knife has become my everyday knife in the kitchen.

I thought I would only use this knife for camp cooking but now I use it for almost everything. I often use his $100+ knives because he's damn sharp. It's also heavy, which I love - heavy and sharp - it's safe. The only thing I would *easily* complain about is that it's not as easy to clean as a knife without a fancy design on the side, but that's an aesthetic choice over just cleaning. While this is not a problem, there is something to consider.

I don't remember ever using a butcher knife, I've always seen them in movies and cartoons but this one made me particularly happy. I only received this knife yesterday so I reserve the right to change this review at a later date. Consider my first impressions: It looks EXACTLY as pictured, including the light gray KNIFAST logo which appears to be either printed or lightly laser engraved.
