I wanted to create a device from Arduino that would do just that. I figured if I thought about it, someone else would think it too. Therefore, there are several options that control the temperature and humidity and allow control through the relay. It was by far the cheapest option. It turns out this was the least user friendly. I used cheap extension cords and cut them in half to provide the connections. It seemed to work fine, but I'm not sure if the device actually works. I think I programmed it correctly, but without the instructions that came with the box there's no way to tell for sure. If you want to make a change and save a few bucks, give it a try. Otherwise, you'll save a lot of time and hassle by buying something more polished and finished.
