So far I have scanned over 3000 slides, 135 black and white negatives, 135, 110 and 126 color negatives in format. The digital output roughly corresponds to the scanned print image in terms of resolution and color balance. With practice the scanning will become faster and faster, the controls allow you to rotate the scan right to left and upside down, saving you time without having to re-feed negatives. Transferring from a device to a PC is as easy as swapping out the SD chip, or directly via a USB cable (which also serves as a power source). The included power cord can be extended an additional 12 inches or more. The device turns off for no reason. Always on but off every few minutes. Sometimes it was ok for an hour but mostly it ran out too many times and was brought back. The replacement came very quickly. The replacement turned off the same way as the first, but not as often. It's not due to overheating or a bad external connection, maybe something inside the chip?
