The adjustable part of the knot works properly. However, the dehumidifier had a bug that prevented it from being used. The two separate blocks are attached to each other with a dovetail and clamp with two screws. One of the dovetails had a defect in the separator casting that eventually led to an air leak. I would return the unit but when I found the air leak I mistakenly thought the leak was coming from the plastic case and over tightened it which resulted in a micro tear in the bottom of the plastic case.
