Received yesterday, set up and used today. I thought I'd just get to know him on the old blunt knives from the "Stuff" box. They only used the "European/American" tier (2) and tier (3). WOW they got so sharp after 2-6 hits depending on how blunt they were. I took out all our knives, washed them, sharpened them and washed them again. They are like new. From unpacking, reading the instructions to assembling in just one hour. We have 2 knife blocks. We'll be using it on our family's knives just to see if they want one too (or just ask me to keep sharpening them!). I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has knives in the kitchen.
