Not in GPS, Finder & Accessories

I bought this to replace an old Nuvi 205 that I loved but had lost (or someone had stolen). I updated it after opening the box and then took it to test. I've tested this at several different destinations I've traveled to before. The instructions that were given were not the quickest or most direct. I reset the settings to the most direct and fastest route and tried again. Same result. Then I took it with my brother who has an iPhone (I didn't have it at the time). We were in South Carolina trying to get to the mall before it closed. The directions this device gave us took us through neighborhoods rather than main streets on the iPhone. We followed the iPhone to the mall and then back to Garmin. iPhone was better than Garmin. After Garmin it took us 20 minutes to get to the mall and 38 minutes to get back to our hotel. We had our iPhones on at the same time, which gave us completely different directions. I had the same results when I upgraded to iPhone. Garmin driving directions, a long roundabout, or a quick and direct route from iPhone, and iPhone will suggest route options. Garmin offers no more than one way to get to your destination. The only benefit of this is that you don't use your data plan on a mobile device unless you're on an unlimited plan. I'm really disappointed with the performance. I'm not sure which platform sends Garmin instructions, but I feel like I wasted my money on this as I rarely, if ever, use it.
