You can combine several of these devices to reach anywhere in the house. only needs to be in one line connected to the same panel. not even the same chain. They are ideal for buildings with brick, stone or plaster walls or for bridging long distances. I've used this in several home and small business applications to extend the network into hard-to-reach places without having to knock down walls or crawl through the attic with new CAT6 wire. Sometimes you need to reset them, but far more rarely than I've had to reset a typical wireless router or cable modem. Pair multiples of the same model no problem.
