This article is the best!

I wasn't so sure, 600 feet sounds like too much but I decided to give it a try. Bought an antenna mount with it and installed it on my (abandoned by my old ISP, non-working!) LOS Internet Dish on the roof of my house. This had to go around the walls of my house which are blocks of limestone up to 12 inches thick. Basically this puts the hotspot in the position that I think is best for my property and it works. However, I noticed a few things: 1. Being at this height and only having to go through my roof (which is NOT rock of course) allows this thing to confuse my existing Orbi rig. Pretty much anywhere in my house unless it's up to the orb's power. it surpasses them. Ouch. I suspect it's money laundering. Will eventually update them with more Ubiquiti.2. yes it can reach at least 300 feet. With great power. I've only found one place outside of my house where Orbi usually (not always) beats this thing. Not a fair fight. Orbi has satellites!3. Software management is lame. When I connect to the network this thing is running on I can't see it and the program immediately stops receiving heartbeats from it and although it works fine it claims to be dead and stops messing with it to interact. I'm assuming there is some system or setting I'm missing that allows this. Overall, I wouldn't buy this as a bad buy. It's not very expensive, but for its price, it performs way out of the league. The control it offers is great, and the performance and coverage are second to none. I'll be pairing this with a real AP controller sooner or later, and I have high hopes for it based on what I have. Edit: This thing just survived a 30 year blizzard that was fully exposed during an 11 degree snow storm on my roof. freezing rain. (2021 is already trying for 2020!) Still works, although the safe Orbs seems to be outperforming it near home now, which is a bummer. There are also a few drips on cameras at the edges of my property. Considering all the other storm battles, the fact that it works at all is pretty amazing!
