Terrible tech support once you found them

I bought this to finish a project for a client on both sides of a building. The product would not allow me to set up the network and I tried to contact tech support. Tech support is only available via email and replies with a form asking for a lot of information before even contacting me. I provided information and asked a question about the installation - they simply ignored each question and asked for more technical information instead of taking 3 minutes to answer if it's practical or evenโ€ฆ

Great gear for WiFi on your property outside the home.

Absolutely fantastic product! WiFi was at least 400 feet at 15 Mbps! I live on a mountain and have many trees. I firmly believe that if my property were flat and cleared, it would reach much further. I am using this to connect wifi to solar powered wireless security cameras on my property. There would be many trenches for laying wires. The device itself isn't as easy to understand as setting it up, but once you figure it out, it's easy to do. Tip: Use an app instead of a controller if you'reโ€ฆ

It's not that good

This is my first Ubiquiti purchase and I got it up and running minutes after it arrived this afternoon. It looks like a quality product and the power cord for the PoE injector is the most over the top I've come across. The packaging was great. I put this in my backyard because my two Asus AX86Us just don't get into my outside walls that well. I have gig internet and have seen about 20Mbps Up/Down in my backyard, now up to 550Mbps 20ft from this hotspot. . For comparison, my AX86Us transmitโ€ฆ

Easy setup, excellent coverage.

I bought this to improve the WLAN access outside the house. I don't need a mesh network as most of the major devices in the house are connected, but I do have a WiFi camera at our gate which is about 75 feet from the house and a smart switch and outlet in our house. separate garage. Without a hotspot, I couldn't access the front gate camera that far, making it pretty much useless. My network is very simple. Cable modem with switch and POE switch (for POE IP cameras). I have a Ubiquiti hotspotโ€ฆ

This article is the best!

I wasn't so sure, 600 feet sounds like too much but I decided to give it a try. Bought an antenna mount with it and installed it on my (abandoned by my old ISP, non-working!) LOS Internet Dish on the roof of my house. This had to go around the walls of my house which are blocks of limestone up to 12 inches thick. Basically this puts the hotspot in the position that I think is best for my property and it works. However, I noticed a few things: 1. Being at this height and only having to goโ€ฆ
