My 2011 Ford Edge sons had a door indicator on the dash on the front driver's side door and the courtesy light stayed on after you got out and locked the door. Replaced in less than 2 hours with the help of a YouTube video. You will have to remove almost the entire door panel and door handle, move the door glass up and lock it in the up position while replacing the part. I think this is a common problem with these machines. As long as it works the way it's supposed to. Saved a lot of money doing it myself.
