Review on πŸ“· ZEROXCLUB 2021 HD Backup Camera for Car Pickup Trucks SUVs Vans RVs - Night Vision, IP69 Waterproof, Wide View - B01" by Sean Tops

Revainrating 4 out of 5

4 stars with one caveat. (2-3 stars)

Ok I'll start off by saying 4 stars was a bit out of reach but considering how much it cost me to get a unit, ($21) It's easily a good value at this price point. Therefore 4 stars for functionality/price. What I like about it: 1. Metal mount and metal casing around the camera.2. It's quite discreet/small, doesn't block any part of my license plate.3. The video is bright enough day and night. (Although not as bright as the picture in the description. Nice try) 4. Value for money What I don't like 1. Dishes. The suspension alone told me what I would get from the camera. budget items. This RCA/Video cable was so fragile that the plug broke through my firewall when securely placed in the RCA port. The housing around the connector is made of very cheap, thin metal. So install with extreme care. Or you can look to Revain for a new RCA.2 rear view camera. Recommendations. Oh recommendations. I have no idea what they're aimed at, but I'm pretty sure they were adjusted for the camera's 170* fisheye effect.3. That brings me to the 170* fish eye. Too bad I didn't leave that out of the description. Rear cameras 170* are absolutely terrible for backups. 140-49* is the optimal camera for precise reversing. The only thing 170* will give you is a really good shot of the sky. Yes it gives you more width and height in the video but we don't really need to see 3 parking spaces left and right. Because this instruction is terrible. Haha.4. Video.FULL HD. Either 4k ruined me or I'm just a video snob, but that's a far cry from FULL HD. The video is a bit fuzzy, the colors are a bit exaggerated. Maybe it's my main unit but I doubt it considering I often watch TV and YouTube from my main unit and it looks absolutely FULL HD. In general, this is a normal device. It's not the worst, it's far from the best. But for $21 it deserves 4 stars. However, if the device was $40+ I would give it 2 to 3 stars. Give it a try if you don't mind grossly inaccurate directions, the 170* fisheye effect (showing most of your rear bumper just to annoy you) and buying a better quality RCA (still under $30 with a new RCA )

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
