This provides a convenient place to store all the items that ended up in my minivan with six grandkids. It also provides basic protection for the back of my leather seats. I was hoping it would be thick enough to protect the backrest from the support bar when the rear-facing car seat presses against the back of my leather seats, but it's not thick enough. Yes, I realize it's not advertised for that use, but I was hoping! I ended up buying a car seat protector that, instead of a strap, went under the car seat and clipped onto the back of the front seat. It does its job well and being able to slip the iPad into the top case is handy so the kids can watch movies and not fight over the iPad!
