Я 60-летняя женщина, и я только что установил 50 футов этих 6-дюймовых ограждений водосточных желобов AM на мои 5,5-дюймовые желоба (без чьей-либо помощи), и вся работа заняла у меня long time. about 3-4 hours. They fit perfectly, although I had to bend them in the back in a few places to get them to fit properly (because my gutters are uneven). The length/side leading to the rim of the dripper was easy to bend by hand but the overall guard is solid and seems to really reinforce the gutters once installed. The total length I needed was 50ft and this 50ft box fitted perfectly. They have about a 1 inch overlap cut at one end of each 4ft piece, so no extra inches/ft are needed to account for the overlap (in other words, a 50ft box covered a 50 -foot gutter, including about an inch overlap for each part). I paid a few hundred dollars last year to have front gutter guards installed and I just realized what a horrible job they did. when I had to climb stairs for other reasons (a different safety cover was used but very similar to this product). I ended up removing each part and reinstalling properly so I already knew what tools I would need for the installation. Guards on my back gutters I found it necessary to use an awl and hammer to drive the screws in, mainly on the side of the gutter lip that wasn't pre-punched/drilled (that would be my only complaint about this product. Pre-drilled holes or At least knockouts would help a lot and I would give 5 stars (There are pre-drilled holes every few inches on the side that lies on top of the outside edge of the gutter.). Along with an awl and hammer, I also used good metal snips, a cordless drill, an extension cord (don't know what it's called) for a 1/4" hex screwdriver, and #8 x 9/. 16" socket head self-tapping screws (I'll replace them with stainless ones in the future, but haven't found them yet). They worked great on the gutter edge side and mostly the gutter side. You may be able to install them by simply tucking one side under the shingles and then attaching the "outside" to the edge of the gutter, but that didn't work for me. I attached both sides with screws. You could probably get by with 4 screws apiece, but I put in more to keep them flat - and we're in a hurricane zone. Installed correctly I don't see how leaves can get into the gutters or other objects maybe sand from the roof or something very small. Leaves pile up on top of the Wardens, which seems to be the case with most, but they can be easily shaken off. Upon careful examination of the Gutter Wardens, none of them appear to be the ideal solution. Right price, easy to work with, fits my 5.5" gutters and definitely RDS. I wouldn't expect to have to take them off anytime soon to clear anything that might get caught in the gutters, but time will tell. We have oak trees that shed their leaves 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a week and similar sentinels I have outside my house seem to have done a good job of keeping leaves out, even with poor installation. what was done. So I expect these guards to perform the same or better. The instructions in the box show how to cut the corners. It is easy to make and easy to cut with metal scissors.
