Scanned Photos and Scanned Negatives

So if you're like me, you have shoeboxes full of printed photos and negatives and with the best intentions of putting them in albums or scrapbooks. I have both from a trip in 1997. I wanted to keep the images of the photos but was hesitant about scanning my existing photos or buying a negative scanner. After looking at the first few strips of negative I was very disappointed with the image quality. I was about to give a pathetic review of this product but with more use of the device I found I could tweak the colors which helped my images a bit. Although I haven't connected the device to a large screen yet (an HDMI cable was included), I made some quick color changes on the tiny (but adequate) screen to try and make a more objective comparison between the scanned print ( with HP's generic office scanner) and the Wolverine output. I'm not 100% satisfied with the picture quality yet, but I don't want to spend extra money on quality upgrades either. I recommend this unit to people who have packed negatives from years ago and know there are photos of lost loved ones or forgotten places. The picture quality isn't the best, but as you can see from the attached pictures, it's not bad either. If you want crisp, clean prints (or, oh, enlarged!) from your negatives, you'll probably need to spend a little more money or take the negatives to a professional. If you just want to spend a few hours finding lost memories to share with your family digitally or online, this device should do the trick.
