Much, much too small to use as a septum ring. In the photo I placed it inside one of my septum retainers, as you can see it’s unbelievably small. The space of the curved bar between the hinge and "clasp” is just barely the width of my septum tunnel itself, I didn’t dare close the clasp because A) it would have been almost impossible to open it back up, and B) it was so small the bottom of the jewelry hugged my nose too tightly. Might be cute for a different location but this was sold as a septum and I wouldn’t recommend it for that purpose.
