Great addition to your heavy duty truck!
I thought they were pretty easy to install but you should have some knowledge of the different types of adjustments in case you need to cut parts of the mounting bracket. You'll also need to drill holes in the frame, so for a novice DIYer this seems more difficult than it should be. Incredibly durable bags and they did a great job of carrying my heavy cab through a 3481 lb RV.
