Overall I like the design, the brightness of the lasers and the accuracy of the device. There are some quirky aspects to the controls. Turning it on and off is done with the Lock/Unlock slider. Incline mode, in particular, is awkward to turn on, and it doesn't help that for some reason the incline mode button is labeled "OD" on the device and "Out" on the remote. Did NOT lean after turning on. (If this is the case, just turn the unit off and on again.) The grade mode, which bypasses the error condition by beeping/flashing when the unit is tilted past the self-leveling range, has another feature: the laser The modules can still move within 3 degrees of the plane before stopping. That means you can't set the tilt within those 3 degrees out of plane, even with tilt mode turned on. For most purposes this is probably not a problem, but if you are doing work at very small angles, e.g. B. Drainage, this device may not be right for you. The batteries arrived with no charge, or at least so discharged that the device would not turn on. I got a few random beeps from it which confused the situation, but in the end I decided to charge the batteries before moving on. This solved the "problem" but it takes HOURS to charge. USB charger and clearly not a fast charger! The device is switched on and off with the locking button on the side. The lock position turns off the device and locks the laser modules. Unlocking them unlocks and turns them on, by default it's just a horizontal laser. The device comes in a well-protected soft case with a zip. Also includes a magnetic mount, steel nail plate and miniature lift table. Everything is usable but doesn't seem to be on the same level of quality as the laser unit itself. Accuracy is top notch as it has been verified multiple times with multiple levels.
