Didn't save me time

I grow a lot of vegetables every year and we enjoy fresh salads from them, but cutting the stems and cutting the leaves is very difficult . I had high hopes for this little device, but after a use or two I'm back to the old fashioned way. First I would like to say that it is well built and simple. I just like it. No moving parts - nothing to break. It's just an almost flat disk with holes of different sizes. The problem I found is that despite her trying to accommodate sheets of every size, I found too many sheets that were too big for a hole, but the next smaller size she couldn't remove leaving lots of sheets. remain on the stem. Or if the size of the stem decreases along its length, starting at the hole that fits in the base, when I got to the leaf it no longer fitted. A couple that seemed to fit well when I made a stem and started separating it from the leaves, either the stem just snapped or it tore/torn the leaves during splitting. The worst part was that it didn't really save me any time. I pictured putting my leaves through it and after 30 seconds I got two stacks - one of the leaves and one of the stems. In fact, it took just as long to remove the leaves from the stems with this device as it did with my knife and cutting board. And since I can get it more accurate with my knife, it's now unused in the back of the drawer.

Cons
  • Nothing
