Item received very quickly! This was my second attempt at repairing our gas dryer (Kenmore Elite - about 9 years old). After cleaning the lint filter, blowing out the vent in the wall, and replacing the thermal fuse, it still didn't work properly. You could hear the pilot turn on after a minute and the dryer would heat up for about 5 minutes then it would start buzzing without heating up and it sounded like the pilot was trying to light itself up again. The top panel does not need to be removed. (I recommend at least separate) You only need to remove the bottom panel (there were 4 screws). Gas valve solenoids we are in the front right. (I recommend taking a photo at this point because of the wires and I have 2 seconds memory) 2 small screws hold it in place as a cover (you will need a short handled screwdriver), remove and loosen the wires. Install new gas solenoids - re-hook the wires and replace the cap. (This is a lot easier than it sounds). Reattach the bottom panel. (i.e. screw in and only screw in 2 of the 4 screws that hold it in place) Then DONE! The dryer will now heat up and stay hot throughout the cycle. If I can, you can do it.
