Review on πŸš— Noico RED 150 mil 36 sqft Car Sound Insulation: Quiet Your Ride with Self-Adhesive Closed Cell Deadening Material (PE Foam Sound Deadener) by Hugo Caywood

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Suitable for van conversion

I bought 5 boxes of these to wrap a mid rise converted Ford Transit van. 3 boxes never showed up, but Revane did. I used all 5 boxes. It was the perfect amount. It took me about 30 hours to complete, but I didn't have many panels to remove and didn't fall through them. About Heat: It handles heat well, but also insulates well. On hot days I notice that the temperature outside is much higher than inside. I'll feel the roof of the van and it'll be hot, but the insulation will be warm. For a van, you'll still want to find some shade, but you might want to be in the sun longer to use your solar panels. As for the sound, I was disappointed with the soundproofing as I could hear outside noise. I could still hear what was going on around me, but it was all a little quieter. For example, I no longer hear people walking around me (noisy strollers included), but I can hear them talking when they are 5 feet away from me. That had a positive effect on the sound in the hold, because there was a metallic echo before. It also reduced the outside noise that could be heard from inside. Final Thoughts: Don't use this as your only soundproofing. I'll probably have to take the 315 and use it tactically around the van for better soundproofing.
