Review on Hydrofarm Active Aqua Pump Outlets by Amanda Austin

This pump works well with my 5 gallon DWC setup. I use it for air in a total of 6 buckets, 3 per side. This is my first year with hydroponics and it most likely isn't rated for 6 buckets but so far it's working well. I was torn between using an aerator and the short method. I chose the ventilation route. Even if it doesn't work for 6 buckets, I think a little air is better than none at all. I plan on adding a few more buckets next year which will require a more powerful pump but this one will probably still work up to at least 4 buckets. This pump is also pretty quiet, I've seen people complain about its noise and they may have a faulty unit right now. My pump has been running 24/7 for 2 months and I don't even notice it. My setup is outside on our patio so a big thank you to my local cable company who left a spare weatherproof demarcation box when they launched new cable a few years ago and I'm glad I'm keeping it have.
