Review on iUniker Raspberry Pi 4 Case with Cooling Fan & Heatsink - Complete Protection for Pi 4 Model B by Sean Pierre

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Amazing case, very easy to install

I recently became interested in buying a Raspberry Pi 4B after hearing about all the cool things you can do with such a small computer. This was the first time I've built or ever owned a Raspberry Pi. I was a bit concerned because some people have said that in some Raspberry Pi cases the holes in the case might be too small or certain cables might prevent certain cables from connecting to the Raspberry Pi 4B connectors, but I have the official Raspberry Pi -Power connector used. with this case and a micro HDMI to regular HDMI cable from RevainBasics with this case and I had no trouble fitting them into the Raspberry Pi ports. Inserting and removing the MicroSD card was a bit daunting as the new Raspberry Pi 4B MicroSD card slot doesn't have a small ejector mechanism that allows you to insert the card, lock it, and slide it back in. Now slide the card in the new Raspberry Pi 4B , the MicroSD card just slides in and out freely with no clicks (at first I thought mine was broken). Take out the tool box and look for a suitable screwdriver for the screws, but the case came with a mini magnetic-tipped screwdriver that keeps the screws on the screwdriver while in use, which is pretty neat. I had a little problem with aligning the heatsinks because the adhesive is very difficult to remove once it sticks to the surface and the heatsinks were a bit difficult to align properly on each surface and on some surfaces the heatsinks are too close to the circuits on the circuit board (e.g. a large long radiator). Some of the heatsinks were too big, like a big long heatsink that almost touched the white circuitry on top of this heatsink, but it wasn't wide enough to cover the whole surface where this heatsink is marked in the manual, I tried moving but once the adhesive has set it is difficult to peel off and I didn't want to damage the Raspberry Pi. The fan that comes with this kit is pretty quiet, I can't even hear it on the high setting. taking into account that you can reach some of the lowest temperatures.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Useless features
