Very Nice Raspberry Pi 4B Case

This is a very basic case, heatsink and fan, but it costs $11. The Raspberry Pi 4B (RPi) board fits perfectly and is held securely by screws. The fan fits snugly on top of the lid and is hidden once installed, and is a few millimeters larger than other fans I've seen in cases. This makes it more efficient in its task of cooling the RPi. The heatsinks that go onto the board chips also help a lot. Before I put my board (which I use as a network packet capture device to troubleshoot my customers'…

iUniker Raspberry Pi Armor Case

Really good workmanship and fit on the Elements14 board. The temperature regime has not dropped as much as we would like. That was enough to keep the timings within acceptable limits with 3 GB of file transfers and OS and software updates. A NOTICE. If you use the supplied tape, the CPU load will increase and the other contact point will not touch. KEEP THE TAPE OFF THE CPU until IUniker fixes this. A small drop of connection on the CPU will solve the problem and leave the tap on another…

Super SILENT fan - blocks light splashes at night

Much better than my starter kit. This tiny squirrel cage was noisy and getting worse and worse. It was louder than a Coway Airmega 1518 at level 2. The significantly larger fan in this case is not only quieter than an air purifier, but also quieter than my PC in the best Fractal Design case (huge fans at ultra low speed with dynamo). To be honest none of them make enough noise to be considered a problem. The old closet was also clean and all the LEDs just splattered on the bed. Now they're…

Fan cables can't handle the load

First of all, this case keeps my Pi3 cool. It survived the summer sitting on the dash in the Midwest heat. What is not good are the fan cables. They constantly approach the fan blades. Because of the large flexing from the movement, the insulation around the wires began to tear. Wiring does not help. The case could easily be converted into a "cap" for the fan cables. Also, the thermal tape could be of better quality.

  • Nice packaging
Cons

cool little case.

Great little suitcase. It appears to have been carved well from a few blocks of aluminum and then painted. It looks great and feels strong. It has some areas where it could be improved, but I can't fault it. That's exactly what I expected. In the future I wish for a similar case that completely covers the circuit board. If the rubber plugs on the ports are properly designed, this can be a really solid case. If the flippers/flippers were retained it wouldn't even need fans.

Amazing case, very easy to install

I recently became interested in buying a Raspberry Pi 4B after hearing about all the cool things you can do with such a small computer. This was the first time I've built or ever owned a Raspberry Pi. I was a bit concerned because some people have said that in some Raspberry Pi cases the holes in the case might be too small or certain cables might prevent certain cables from connecting to the Raspberry Pi 4B connectors, but I have the official Raspberry Pi -Power connector used. with this case…

Did the designers check that at all?

I used the parts that came with the case. As you can see in the photo, there are locking points all around the case that push the GPIO to the side. There are 4 GPIO pins positioned in a way that you could permanently damage them if used with this case. In addition, the supplied fan does not fit into the case. I don't recommend this as not only will it destroy your RPI but it will also pose a fire hazard. This product should not be sold on Revain.

Idle Temperature: 37 C with Rasp Pi 4

TL;DR. All in all for $11 quite happy with the purchase. The product has a pretty good finish, it works well and I have no complaints. with fan on low speed. At this speed, the fan can't be heard more than a foot away. At high speed, the idle temp was oddly constant at 40C. I assume this is because running the fan itself adds some heat. I haven't tested it under load, but I assume higher fan speed is better under load. It's also a little louder as I can hear it from several feet away. Case I…
