These pens are really pretty! The finish is really good and I suspect they will hold up well in my kitchen. I painted my kitchen cabinets white - it wasn't actually a 'set' of cabinets but more of a Frankenstein set I put together from old cabinets, like a jigsaw puzzle of sorts! They looked pretty cool, but I knew I needed tie rods to tie my "new" closets together to make them look really good. I'm so glad I was able to achieve this on my meager budget! The feel of these trains is amazing and the price was so good I can't believe it. I don't want to end negatively, but the only issue I had was that even though two different length screws were included in the kit, I still had issues with some cabinet doors - the screws were either too short or too long! Strange! I was able to fix this by finding some old tie rod bolts that I had removed. I don't think this will be a problem for most people - just a problem for me because I'm a DIY enthusiast who refuses to throw something away if I can get it to work!
