I had one - just a PEM stud that was removed (on arrival) on a bracket that held several of those studs three inches apart. A regular round die will usually fit into a block that requires spoke-like handles to rotate the die. I was able to turn this one with a simple crescent wrench as intended. Now I don't know how this will hold up with repeated use as I only had to fix one bolt. And it worked great. (NOTE - This die was used for "re-tapping". It was not used for an unthreaded shank.) The local big box store charged 2-3 times more for a regular die (die only - no handle). Which still wouldn't work in my case as other existing studs were installed within inches of the damaged one. So for those of you who can imagine my predicament who understand the use of the tap and die, well I would definitely recommend this little tool.
