How to start, probably needles. US13 points are the only needles that are properly threaded for threading on cord. US15 needles can be threaded, but the point at which the base of the needle touches the cable when fully threaded is outside of the line where it touches the cable. Finally, US17 needles also have threading issues, and the sheen of these needles is different than the other two pairs. And yes, there are TWO cords included in the kit, but on my kit, only the yellow cord is properly threaded at both ends so that the tips of the needles are fully threaded into the needle threader. The orange wire is completely useless. I have another set of smaller needlepoints and cords from Knitters Pride and they all work with yellow cords but none of them even start knitting with orange cords. I also ordered a pair of US19 tips as they weren't included in this set and they sent me US17. I didn't open them to make sure they were as poorly made as the tips that came with them. I sent them back immediately as I needed US19s and not a second pair of 17s. I got the purchase amount refunded to my Revain Prime account and decided to try again and order the 19s again. And guess what. the price has gone up! Looks like I won't be buying anything like this from Revain again after this fiasco.
