Mail isn't just for armor anymore

I've been cooking with Lodge cast iron since I was a child, and for many stoves, especially carnivores, you can't beat plain old cast iron. I'm stating the obvious, but it's always worth repeating. So I have to admit that I felt pretty stupid for taking so long to discover this invaluable tool. clean iron. For those who don't know, this is a process where, after cooking in the aforementioned iron pan, you throw some kosher salt in the pan and move it around with a thick rag or folded paper towel while the pan is still hot. Kosher Salt, which is super absorbent, absorbs juices/oils and consolidates food debris. Then just pour it out, give it a quick rinse and wipe down the pot and you're done. Mmm, yes there are a few issues with this process. It's dirty, stinks and you risk getting burned. You won't know pain until you spill hot salt on your forearm. Oh, and if your frying pan is larger than 12 inches, that's a little annoying. This tool in hand does the cleaning job 10 times better and faster and won't ruin the spice layer! I tried it out on my 8 inch skillet, one of my favorite and frequently used. After wiping, it shone like glossy black paint. I'm so glad I found this tool, it's now permanent next to my sink! As an afterword, I have noticed that some reviews deny these aspects. I won't point fingers, but always make sure you really clean your iron cookware afterwards or it will get so dirty that no cleaning can remove it without killing your seasonal shift. This tool was developed for well-kept and mature metal products that do not require thorough cleaning. However, this thing will remove dirt pretty well. Just add it to your cart already!
