Review on ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ Discover the Delight of Original Candle Lantern Powder for Unmatched Ambiance by Amanda Head

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It used to be a charm over the years, now it's just a sellable product.

I had UCO flashlights for many years before spring came or I lost them while hiking at night. They have always been a good source of light. I've recently bought back both the brass version, which was original when it came out in 1971, and the much lighter aluminum version. Still the same product so far. My only question is why would they want to ruin it with a cheap oval sticker instead of the enamel paint they would use for the product name logo? On one of the original lanterns, in addition to the black enamelled UCO logo, flames shone around the name, which was also applied in black enamel. It was beauty. These cheap paper stickers devalue the product name, believe me. I understand the cost reduction but it reduces the image of the product so much that it is now only manufactured as a commodity in China. Too bad. It used to have charm and personality. Corporate marketing blew it up. I have now used my fingernail to remove the crooked sticker from each of my new lights. Looks a lot better but I still prefer the nice hand drawn logo they had before. If they ask me if it's UCO, I can at least point to the bottom of the lantern, which says UCO at the top, made in China.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
