These work well for small spring clips. Large clamps require arm stretching. My curse is that I have small hands, so this tool can be used with two hands on large clamps. The ratchet stops are good, but on the smaller click they don't match up exactly, but close enough for the clamps I've been working with. The head fits most clamps, but some are not as secure. I can see that there are other pliers with different jaw options, but since this is my first and only clamp pliers, it's hard to say if any other style of pliers is better. They work and I was able to do what was necessary for that service interval. The quality was good, not crazy but correlated with the price. I'm glad I bought them. :)
