Quick and easy with this tool.

This tool is essential when working with constant tension clamps. Simply place the tool on the clamp, squeeze and you're done. No more fumbling with several different pliers. When you say you can do it just as easily and quickly with any type of pliers, you've never used this tool.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Worked well with many heater hose clamps on a 2002 Grand Caravan.

Ideal for many heater hose clamps used on the 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan. Good for the hands. Reliably made in the USA. staple remover. This tool could not remove all staples.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Negative result present

Some things in life are just beautiful.

I've wanted one my whole life and I wasn't disappointed. Pulled these clamps straight out and even fitted them to my spare hose. For once, no broken knuckles and twist clips that you can't find for weeks. (They should IMHO release them with every car sold.)

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Worth every penny I paid.

My machine is fitted with constant tension spring clips and I recently did a major overhaul myself. These pliers have proven to be indispensable. I used to remove them with needle nose pliers, and sometimes not without difficulty. I was a fool If you need to work with these types of clamps I highly recommend getting these pliers, you'll save yourself a lot of frustration and swearing. My only problem is figuring out where to buy replacement tips, they can chew a little after heavy use.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not bad

Useful and good price

Bought for a cooling project on my MK2 GTI, reviews were good. They were very helpful with all the permanent tie down straps during removal and installation. It's worth getting a pair of these, it saves time and hassle compared to using channel locks or regular pliers. They also ensure better ground clearance in the tightest of spaces. They also appear to be sturdy, except that the cups will deteriorate with constant use. An extremely useful tool nonetheless, especially considering the price…

Works well - power tools and hand tools

These work well for small spring clips. Large clamps require arm stretching. My curse is that I have small hands, so this tool can be used with two hands on large clamps. The ratchet stops are good, but on the smaller click they don't match up exactly, but close enough for the clamps I've been working with. The head fits most clamps, but some are not as secure. I can see that there are other pliers with different jaw options, but since this is my first and only clamp pliers, it's hard to say if

Pros
  • Got it!
Cons
  • Expensive

Good clamp pliers.

Great clamp pliers set. They are made of thick stamped steel that will last. It has a ratchet that can be set to closed or no ratchet. Although the pliers I received are the same model as the ones in the picture, the SE tools seem to have updated them. Mine has a black oxide finish instead of the nickel in the photo and has dual layer grips with a textured red over the black in the photo. Luckily it still says "Made in the USA". I can say that extra care was taken in their manufacture as the…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Socket required

Great find for the money.

I used to only have the remote and wired version (from Astro). After this block broke I decided to try another brand of remote control and also bought this tool. I have 3 Volkswagens so I have to deal with the constant tension of the clamps. This makes them really easy to remove and install, even compared to the more expensive RC Astros I've had before. Actually for easy access clamps I would highly recommend them. Cables are still needed for tight spaces where clamps are left at odd angles…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old
