Review on AOMAI Windproof Jet Torch Butane Flame Cigar Cigarette Lighter - Gray (No Gas Included) by Tim Olson

This is my second Aomai lighter. The first lasted for a year with regular use, and after the flint change it wasn't (but that's another story). This one doesn't work as smoothly as the first one; The switch is difficult to get in the right position, the wheel doesn't spin smoothly, and the biggest issue for me is that it gets hot. The lighter should not get hot in your hand. That makes me nervous. The flames also crackle a bit, but that's not a deal breaker. Update 1: I contacted the seller regarding this and he responded very quickly and fixed the problem by sending me another lighter. It took about 10 days to arrive. But the replacement doesn't work. The throttle slide won't move to the up/open position without using anything (I used a chopstick) and then won't stay. So I contacted the seller again and am waiting for a response. I don't know if they will replace this one. I will update as needed, stay tuned. Update 2: I assume I unplugged the stick switch which prevented it from moving freely, so this is working now. It's getting hot like the others though, so I'm kinda giving it up. Maybe I just got lucky the first time. I go back to my honest lighter. Not that elegant looking but a flawless performer
