The picture is deceptive

I needed lamps that could stand alone as shown in the picture. I tried my best to balance them as shown in the picture. Of course, the clamp is strong "if you have space to clamp". They should have been for every gecko. In no case do not look into the light, it will pierce your eyes. There is no mention of this in the description. They are basically useless to me. I am sorry
