Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ AIRCARE MAF1 Replacement Humidifier Filter - Enhanced Wicking Technology (1) by Julius Robinson

Good filter but didn't last as long as hoped

In late January this year we purchased a white AIRCARE MA1201 Console Whole House Evaporative Humidifier as our house has a very dry winter. The humidifier came with a filter but we wanted to buy another to have on hand as a spare and this was recommended for our unit. I have included photos of the box it comes in and the models this filter will work with that are listed on the box. The filter that came with the humidifier lasted about three months when I had to replace it. This filter comes folded in a box and is very easy to install. Both the humidifier manual and filter recommend replacing the filter at least once per season, or more often if you have hard water. When I first installed this replacement filter, there was a slight new smell around the humidifier, but it went away after a few hours. It lasted about a month and worked well which surprised me a little but we also have very hard water. It was a little disappointing but the filter works well enough and is reasonably priced so it still seems like a good option as we need it for our humidifier. In general we are satisfied with the purchase of this filter. It didn't last as long as I had hoped but we are very happy with the benefits of our humidifier and will be purchasing several of these filters within six months of using them. When we start using our humidifier again in late fall I will update this review if my opinion on this filter changes. We still recommend it if you have an AirCare MA1201 humidifier.
