This kit uses thin 1/8” plywood rather than old balsa wood for its parts. It is much stronger and can withstand a reasonable amount of force during assembly. The plywood has been precut using a very fine laser. It is a wonder to behold. Extremely fine cut lines and lettering. Very fine attention to detail. The parts are easily removed from their support structure.You must be very careful when building. You occasionally have to press pretty hard to correctly fit two pieces so you need to be careful and not slip or press too hard and snap the thin wood.Tip: prior to fitting two pieces together, use your fingernail or the edge of a small flathead screwdriver and very slightly round off the sharp corners of the tabs that need to be pushed into slots. This helps to reduce the effort to slide the tab into the slot.The manufacturer has anticipated possible issues with some particularly delicate pieces by providing duplicates. That was extremely helpful when I was assembling the forklift. One of the pieces had slits placed very close together which aided curving the piece to fit around a corner. My first attempt broke easily on my first attempt. I was much more careful with the duplicate piece and I was able to complete the assembly.Surprisingly there are moving parts with this kit. The wheels turn and the forklift can be raised or lowered, although none of these parts move very freely.Heads Up: when you remove the kit from the box, do it over a table or some container. There are two small metal 1cm counter weights that may pop out unexpectedly. I had to chase mine before the dog got them.
