Not enough power. Almost useless.

I bought this product to add more ports to my iMac Pro. Even though it's plugged into an outlet, it turns off due to lack of power when I try to use it with an external hard drive, a USB-powered Epson scanner, a DVD-BD reader, or even a tiny transmitter that mine Logitech Bluetooth mouse supports . It is therefore of little use to have 10 ports on a hub. So I go back to my 14 year old 8 port D-LINK hub. While its USB 2 ports are slower, it doesn't matter for the devices I connect to the hub (Epson scanner, mentioned Logitech transmitter, Magic Mouse charger, memory card reader).
