1/2 " does not equal 20mm (actually approx 13mm)

Size listed as 1/2" and shown as male but no sizes are shown on the image. The listing says "1/2" (20mm)" which should have alerted me but I bought it anyway because Prime. So it has arrived and is a 3/4" (19.05 mm) plug connection, so now we see the problem). I want these companies to focus on the important details. An image is no use to you if you don't have a scale, and if you don't convert your list sizes properly, how do we know which is the "right" one?
