Review on 🏒 Standard Housing Regulations for Transparent Products by Maurice Stavros

Not suitable for long-term use. leak prone.

I have used 4 of these sets over the last few years. They leak, wear out over time and become brittle and burst if you have a lot of pressure/sudden pressure changes. The last 2 kits I bought (for my 4 stage whole house filter) must have been defective and won't stop leaking no matter what I do. This is a constant problem with the product, you need to use just the right amount of filament tape and silicone lube or it will keep leaking. If you get the right amount, the fittings will still be leaking a little over the course of a day or two. The biggest disappointment with this pan-style filter housing is that it has to be disassembled to change filters. It's not easy and you'll spill water everywhere. It is also very easy for the filter to slip out of the seat easily when tightened, causing water to bypass the filter and defeating the purpose of the filter. In short, it's just okay. . The issues I've encountered with this setup have been common to many kits and it doesn't seem to get any better/easier with them.
