These corks are a very tight fit on the vacuum extractor and will easily suck the air out of your wine bottle BUT the pin/valve that is supposed to hold the vacuum is not doing the job. You assume you hear air being sucked back into the bottle as you pull/move the valve to release the vacuum, but there is no vacuum since it came out. There doesn't seem to be a reliable seal in these connectors. The stoppers I replaced them with worked most of the time until I only had one that actually worked. I've tried everything to get her to keep her seal, but to no avail. Squeezing the vacuum pin doesn't work as it doesn't seem to do anything to hold the seal. Too bad because they really suck the air out of your wine bottles.
