Scrap.not old quality was

Well we got 2 of these years ago and the stoppers are starting to go bad. Well, it was cheaper to buy a complete set for 2 stoppers. They won't hold the pressure overnight while the old ones lasted for days. I have contacted the manufacturer and they want me to ship the product back to them at my own expense. Well I have always been a satisfied customer of the family of products they sell but I will not be again. Maybe Amazon can help you get it right.

Pros
  • This vacuum pump and stopper system is designed to preserve the taste of opened wine bottles for up to two weeks.
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Stoppers no longer work

I bought this set on December 19th to replace another rabbit set we have had for a number of years. Less than 2 years have passed and both stoppers have stopped holding the pressure. Given that other reviewers have had the same experience, and at least one reviewer was advised to return the faulty ones at their own expense, it doesn't look like this company endorses their product, so I'll be looking for another brand as a replacement.

Pros
  • Manufactured from heavy duty, polished stainless steel for durability.
Cons
  • confused

Look great but don't work!

These corks are a very tight fit on the vacuum extractor and will easily suck the air out of your wine bottle BUT the pin/valve that is supposed to hold the vacuum is not doing the job. You assume you hear air being sucked back into the bottle as you pull/move the valve to release the vacuum, but there is no vacuum since it came out. There doesn't seem to be a reliable seal in these connectors. The stoppers I replaced them with worked most of the time until I only had one that actually worked…

Pros
  • Corks are easy to clean in the dishwasher.
Cons
  • Reliability

The best wine preservative I've ever seen

LOVE this item. I've had mine for a few years now (still works great) and just bought another one as a gift. I genuinely think this is one of the best methods of preserving wine given two factors: 1) how well the wine actually tastes after a few days, and 2) the cost. I have tried several relatively inexpensive wine preservatives and this one is the best in my opinion. It won't retain the wine flavor for more than a few days (again in my opinion) so don't expect it. PS A year or two ago I read…

Pros
  • Wine stoppers fit all sizes of wine bottles. Simply insert and attach the hand pump to use.
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Very disappointing. Doesn't hold a seal.

DOES NOT WORK. holds no seal. Not as good as the Houdini I used before. It doesn't seem to have a good one-way valve, meaning I have a hard time putting it back down when I pull up on the pump. Also, the cap didn't seem to hold up to the pressure I applied for 24 hours. Not happy with that. These two problems may or may not be related. Anyway, I've used Houdini and it was much better, softer and obviously held a good seal for over 24 hours.

Pros
  • Wine corks are suitable for wine bottles of all sizes. Simply insert and attach the hand pump to use.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
