The fan motor suddenly stopped. After extensive research on the internet, I could reasonably assume that the original fan motor resistor on my 2003 Honda Pilot needed to be replaced. The part was exactly what I needed to replace. I mounted it to the underside of the fan motor housing, tightened the three screws and connected the electrical wire to the new part. The fan motor turned on and functioned normally. When replacing this part, be sure to check the cabin filter. A clogged filter can cause the fan motor to overheat and cause the fan motor resistor to fail.
