Analog stick didn't work tools not good

This review is for Switch analog stick replacement kit. - First impressions of the tools weren't great as the Y screwdriver was soft and almost snapped off the screws. Luckily I already had the Y driver from the Wii repair kit and it worked much better. The one in this set is magnetic, which is handy. The Philips screwdriver worked much better for the screws inside the controller. No problem. Installing the replacement analog joystick was not very easy because the replacement joystick ribbon cable was more solid than the original joystick. The first strike against quality. I finally installed it only to turn on the switch and the stick got stuck in the "down" position. Okay, maybe to be expected since they need to be calibrated. Well, once I managed to get to the calibration screen (not so easy when the stick is stuck), lo and behold, the stick won't calibrate. The calibration screen showed him bouncing all over the place, and when he told me to hold right until the triangle was solid, nothing happened. Tried multiple times including restarting the console. There was a second analog joystick in the kit, but installing it was so painful that I didn't bother. Maybe that will work. In the end I got out a new joystick and put the original one back in since it worked at least partially. Overall: 3 stars considering at least one analog stick didn't work and the Y-screwdriver was mediocre. qualitative. The rest of the kit's contents (a decent Phillips screwdriver, tweezers, extra screws) do have some value though, so I'm not too upset.
