Review on 🛹 Certified Pro-Tec Classic Skate Helmet by Jay Maryland

I bought this helmet along with a double triple eight certification. Both helmets are pretty much the same in terms of protection. I've seen various reviews comparing the shapes of both helmets, with the Protec being more rounded and the Triple 8 being more oval. I wasn't sure how my head would fit so I bought both to compare. If you look at the helmets, you can clearly see the difference in shape. Well, this helmet is definitely round and suits a round head shape better. On my head it looks more pronounced, like a mushroom and there is more space (empty) in the temples, so yes they are round and I found my head to be more oval. The triple eight is definitely more oval and fits my head much better all around and has no gap at the temples. Pretty thin with protective gasket! The Triple 8 offers two sets of ear tips in different thicknesses, with the thinner one still being thicker than the Protec. In a nutshell; exactly the same helmets in terms of safety as triple 8, round head protection and liner - crap! If my head was round and fit me I would give it a 4. One star is deducted for each liner.
