My noodles are narrow rather than round and I have a hard time buying a helmet. It's wearable. I bought extra padding to try and improve the fit and it got better, almost bearable. All of this is more to me than this helmet and it will keep my brains in a handy bucket in case something terrible happens. -1 star for questionable chin strap/attachment system. Pros: • Certified helmet has hard foam padding and protects your head from serious injuries • Looks nice Cons: • Lining is uncomfortable • Sweat causes lining to deteriorate; the adhesive holding the velcro will peel off and the thin fabric covering the foam will fall off • Replacement liners are hard to find and so expensive you can replace the entire helmet • Sweat collects inside the helmet and drips in your eyes. I bought this helmet along with a double triple eight certification. Both helmets are pretty much the same in terms of protection. I've seen various reviews comparing the shapes of both helmets, with the Protec being more rounded and the Triple 8 being more oval. I wasn't sure how my head would fit so I bought both to compare.
