Review on πŸ”’ Enhanced Stake Pocket Spare Tire Carrier with D-Ring Attachment - Extreme Max 5001.1387 by Reginald Pitt

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Protrudes about 4 inches beyond the axle tires and fenders of our already wide equipment trailer.

Really wanted this to work for us. The problem is that with tires/fenders on regular axles, our trailer is about 8 feet wide or more. When you mount this spare wheel holder, it protrudes a few centimeters over the axle wheels and fenders of the trailer. We planned to carry two spares, one on each side of the trailer, but apparently the spare sticks out too far over the sides of our trailer. The trailer is already very wide and we didn't expect the stake pocket to make it even wider. The stanchion rod on our trailer does not go all the way through the stanchion pocket because the fork head is welded together. It would be safe to use Ring D under heavy loads. Works well on small trailers that wide or for securing lighter loads. Many Thanks
