Review on πŸ§ͺ Exploring pH Levels with United Scientific Supplies LPB100 Litmus Test Strips by Andrew Agarwal

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This is blue litmus paper. He does what he has to do.

I think all the one star reviews are not a review of the product itself but deluded expectations? Blue litmus paper turns red when exposed to an acidity of 0-6.9 PH and this can be seen in the product photo. I only need to test acidity and don't need red paper to test bases so that's what I expected. If you need a blue and red or universal indicator; it's not that. Keep looking. I use it to see if my stash of flash paper (nitrocellulose) is degrading and therefore needs to be disposed of before it becomes unstable and dangerous. (Over time it can turn into nitric and sulfuric acid, which is not very good). I am deducting one star due to quality control issues between the strips. β…— of the stripes were dark blue and β…– light blue. However, they both do their job and blush when angry. The price of $1.35 for $100 is fantastic. It just assumes you know what you're doing if you order them.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
