Description and photos are misleading

The photo shows both blue litmus paper and red litmus paper, but there is no way to choose which one you want. Have blue litmus paper. The only thing it does is turn it orange/red when something is acidic. She does not provide more precise information on the pH value. I wanted to use it to test the pH of drinking water, but it's useless for that.

Pros
  • There are few competitors
Cons
  • not reliable

The list is for blue litmus paper only, but says both.

I have just received a BLUE litmus test not just once but twice after contacting the store. You don't have red litmus paper. The description is as follows: Description: 100 strips in plastic bottles of the appropriate color. Each strip is approximately 2" long and 1/4" wide. The illustration shows both blue and red litmus paper. There is no way to choose one or the other. This, combined with the description, leads you to believe that you are getting a blue litmus test and a red litmus test. As…

Cons
  • Slightly torn

This is blue litmus paper. He does what he has to do.

I think all the one star reviews are not a review of the product itself but deluded expectations? Blue litmus paper turns red when exposed to an acidity of 0-6.9 PH and this can be seen in the product photo. I only need to test acidity and don't need red paper to test bases so that's what I expected. If you need a blue and red or universal indicator; it's not that. Keep looking. I use it to see if my stash of flash paper (nitrocellulose) is degrading and therefore needs to be disposed of before

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
