Black and Decker Jigsaw Attachment

There are very few tools in my tool arsenal that can match the versatility, ease of use and performance of the Matrix system. It's just another tool that expands the capabilities of this system. I had no problem being able to cut 2 by 4, knots and everything. The sawdust will accumulate over time, but it can be easily blown away if all the holes are on the side and one is facing you. Its ergonomics are surprisingly comfortable in whatever position you are in. He seems to like t-blades more than u-blades because u-blades can sometimes slip out at weird angles. Cutting steel is easy but it takes time and it's best to take your time as the bit will really slow down and can jam if you push too hard. Battery life isn't impacted much, but less than using a basic drill. The entire body, except for the shoe, is plastic but sturdy, has been accidentally dropped a few times without a trace and will surely withstand whatever you throw at it. It's better than a saber saw in my opinion and can do the same job with a less expensive piece of equipment. All in all, this is a tool you won't want to be without if you have a Black and Decker Matrix system.

Pros
  • Compact jigsaw design offers maximum user control when accessing tight spaces
