This is a big upgrade for my existing controller. It is important that your crustacean is in the 75°F to 80°F temperature range. Some species like it a little warmer, but that's the general range. This controller works like a thermostat for your heating pad. When the sensor inside the tank measures the target temperature, the heating pad will turn off until needed again. The ITC-306T-WIFI also has an alarm function, so you can set high and low temperatures for the alarm. The device also has a timer feature which I know will be useful with other exotic pets. Dual output means you can control two heat sources. With the InkBird Pro app you can program the device from your phone and receive alarms and check heat readings at any time. Low temperature alarm setting. It starts at 58F and drops from there, but for my use I would like to know if my tank has dropped below 70F. TO UPDATE! I spoke to support and if you keep scrolling through all the negative temps you will end up reverting to positive numbers and I was able to find 70F there! For some reason it starts at 58F and at that point you can't scroll up.
