Ordered two temperature control units in two lizard tanks. Within the first 48 hours, one of the units experienced an "internal clock error" that prevented the unit from controlling the temperature and turning on the heater, and going off an alarm in the middle of the night. I bought it for aquariums and reptiles because it has two outlets for connecting multiple aquarium heaters (stainless steel probe is not recommended for salt) or reptile heater mats/lights. I have 2 separate areas to test: first the functionality, then the usability of the thermostat. I used a thermostat in a sterile bath with a floor mounted heating mat under a 28 liter tank with a young wart snake. I have 2 temp readers; an infrared temp gun purchased from Amazon and a high temp laser/small temp probe reader, both usually read within a degree of each other and appear to be fairly accurate.
