Great thermostat for my hermit crabs!

This is a big upgrade for my existing controller. It is important that your crustacean is in the 75°F to 80°F temperature range. Some species like it a little warmer, but that's the general range. This controller works like a thermostat for your heating pad. When the sensor inside the tank measures the target temperature, the heating pad will turn off until needed again. The ITC-306T-WIFI also has an alarm function, so you can set high and low temperatures for the alarm. The device also has a…

Persistent errors that require a manual restart of the units.

Ordered two temperature control units in two lizard tanks. Within the first 48 hours, one of the units experienced an "internal clock error" that prevented the unit from controlling the temperature and turning on the heater, and going off an alarm in the middle of the night. The devices are connected to the app, where you can disable the alarm, but the only way to restore actual operation is to physically unplug the device and plug it back in. We thought it might be an accident and kept using…

Everything worked as described

This Inkbird 306T did what was described. I bought it for aquariums and reptiles because it has two outlets for connecting multiple aquarium heaters (stainless steel probe is not recommended for salt) or reptile heater mats/lights. The display size of the device is perfect for me. I don't have the best eyesight, but I can read the red numbers on the LCD of this device from 8 feet away. Once connected, I launched the Inkbird Pro app to add a new device and then followed the instructions. My app…

the best in this price range

I have 2 separate areas to test: first the functionality, then the usability of the thermostat. I used a thermostat in a sterile bath with a floor mounted heating mat under a 28 liter tank with a young wart snake. I have 2 temp readers; an infrared temp gun purchased from Amazon and a high temp laser/small temp probe reader, both usually read within a degree of each other and appear to be fairly accurate. The Inkbird seems to have a quality probe that's easy to install, but it would be nice if…
